The
Rides at Busch Gardens Florida are Absolutely Incredible. The
roller coasters at Busch Gardens Florida are world renowned. The
coasters are all themed and very different. I think that
children should be at least seven before attempting even the mildest on
the list.
Stanley Falls is Busch Gardens Florida’s
log flume ride. You will get very wet. Great ride. Seldom a line as it
is not as terrifying as some of the other rides. Riders as young as 2
can ride this with a responsible adult.
Congo river
rapids is riding the rapids in a 8 person rubber tube. You will get wet
so save this for early afternoon when you are really hot and everyone
else is at lunch. The height requirement is 42” . This ride is never
the same twice. As you spin through river you can not always see what
is coming up next.
Cheetah chase is a great as a
first coaster ride. It goes up five stories and is not at all scary.
Riders must be at least 6 years old and 46” tall. This is a cute and
fun family ride. Each car accommodating 4 riders.
Gwazi
is a real wooden double coaster with speeds of 100 miles per hour.
Riders must be at least 48” tall. This coaster has won several awards
with a record six fly bys. This one is a middle of the road
coaster probably best suited for the average 10 year old.
Kumba
has 7 inversions and is consistently voted one of the countries best
coasters. Minimum height for this ride is 54”. This is a medium range
coaster. It is a smooth ride.
Montu is one of the
longest and tallest, a real flagship for Busch Gardens Florida. This is
the coaster with out a bottom. Your legs
dangle freely as you are strapped in at the shoulders. Height
requirement for this ride is 54”. This one will really get your
adrenaline going. Not only are you being wizzed through the air with
3.85 Gs you have the added feeling of falling with nothing below you.
Scorpion
50 miles per hour in a 360 degree vertical loop. This ride has a height
requirement of 42”. This ride goes completely upside down. There are
only 3 coaster of this kind in the world. Busch gardens doesn’t offer
any appropriate age but I would say around 8. This is not the scariest
coaster in the park but it has a 360 degree loop so it is not for
anyone with a weak stomach. This is one of the oldest coasters in the
park so there is seldom a line.
Sheikra you travel
200 feet up in the air before a four second pause before a 90 degree
drop straight down. This ride is absolutely terrifying. My husband
threw up after riding it. Teenagers will love it! After our neighbors
kids went, It was all they talked about for the rest of the summer.
Tangyanika
Tidal Wave 55 foot drop to the waters below. Minimum Height requirement
is 48”. This one is the next step up from Stanley falls. Everyone gets
really wet on this ride.
