Ellenton Outlet Mall

The Ellenton Outlet Mall offers some of the best shopping anywhere. Ellenton is located thirty minutes south of Tampa off of interstate 75.

The Ellenton Outlet Mall is an outdoor mall so this not a very good “rainy day” plan. The outlets have a lot of really great high end shops as well as factory stores versions from your favorite mall stores.

This mall really has something for everyone. One of our favorite features is the playground. When the kids get tired of shopping they can go with dad over to the playground and go down the slide and climb the ladders.

This gives mom at least another twenty minutes of shopping before the family calls it quits.

This area is appropriate for children ages two and a half to eight.

Another thing we like about the outlets is the kiosks spread throughout the place. They offer everything from sunglasses to kettle corn. These little stands really keep it interesting.

The Ellenton Outlet Mall has a food court but I recommend eating at one of the restaurants outside the outlets .
          
Gio can be walked to from the outlets.It is located in a strip mall adjacent to the outlets (this strip mall also has a few shops worth visiting).Gio is a family owned restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine.
           
Peaches is located in the same plaza as Gio. They offer breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices.Peaches closes at 2 so the hours are somewhat limited.Their chicken salad plate is really good.They also have a kids menu and are very kid friendly.

Ruby Tuesdays is close as well.They open early for lunch and have a full bar. Most people go to Ruby Tuesdays for there extensive salad bar.This restaurant is also very kid friendly. Though the service is hit or miss.          

Applebee's is located across a 6 lane road from the outlets so I recommend driving. They offer lunch as well as dinner for reasonable prices.Clean and consistant.You can't go wrong here.

ellenton outlet mallThe Ellenton Outlet Mall has the usual holiday sales.Coupons are available on the Prime Outlets web site. Print them out before you go. You can save a lot of money.
         
Thanksgiving night the outlets open at midnight.(Black Friday) It is an absolute mad house.

I have learned that if I get up and go at four a.m. I get the same limited time deals with none of the crowds.
        
In December extra kiosks are set up offering gift wrapping as well as ornaments , calendars. There are also several stands that offer personalized items such as embroidered hats,bibs and shirts. Another stand sells piggy banks and barretes hand painted with any name you would like.
          
In August the state of Florida has a tax free week. Anyclothing item under fifty dollars is not taxed so you save seven percent.
