Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays are Tampa Florida’s baseball team. Their home field is called Tropicana Field. Sometimes referred to as the Trop. The Box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am-5:30 pm. Saturday 9 am - 3 pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm. It is also open during games until half an hour after the game is over.

Persons ages two and up need a ticket. I know this sounds crazy as a two year old definitely is not going to sit through an entire game. Ticket prices range from $10-$270.The most expensive tickets and the best seats are right behind home plate. I recommend getting your tickets well in advance as they charge a “same day fee” if you purchase your ticket within 5 hours of the start of the game.

On Sundays they have something called a “family fun day”. This type of ticket includes seeing the Sunday game plus a meal. This is an economic way to introduce baseball to the kids.

The Rays are trying to be green! If you come it the game in a group of 4 or more in the same vehicle parking is free. Less then 4 people in your car? It will be $15 to park. Trop parking fills up fast and lots in the area charge any where from $10-$20 to use their parking.

Getting to the game at least two hours early is not a bad idea. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Live bands are often set up prior to games for tailgating.

Be sure to check the Tampa Bay Rays web site before you attend your game as this will tell you about anything special going on with that particular game.
